Beware Mumford & Sons Traffic Snarl

Chart-topping, Grammy-winning band takes the stage for sold-out show at Charter Amphitheatre on Wednesday night.

Be advised to expect heavy traffic in and around the Charter Amphitheatre in Simpsonville on Wednesday, Sept. 11, due to the sold-out Mumford & Sons concert scheduled for that evening, police and concert organizers advise.

"We encourage our guests to arrive early, carpool and follow direction from the traffic officers and the parking staff," stated Amphitheatre GM Roger Newton. “We expect very heavy traffic from 5-8 p.m. and will have multiple lanes of entry open into the Amphitheatre off of Main Street and also at the Howard Drive entrance at the back of the Amphitheatre.”

“With the new and improved Traffic Management Plan we do anticipate a better process of getting guests in and parked," said Simpsonville Chief of Police Steve Moore. "However, with another record setting attendance expected, we believe that traffic in the area will be congested and we appreciate your patience when traveling to this area. Also, we highly advise that anyone who does not need to be in the area of the Park during this time use alternate routes to avoid concert traffic.”
