Obit: Stella Patton of Simpsonville

Stella Elizabeth Patton, 88, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2013.

Ms. Patton was born in Fountain Inn to the late Ernest Palmer Patton and Parris Virginia Dillard Patton. She was a graduate of the Greenville General Hospital Nursing Program and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Stella loved working in the yard and enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are a brother, John Patton and wife Toni; a sister-in-law, Bobbie Patton; a special cousin and friend, Mildred Patton-Kirby; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Watts Patton and Ernest Patton; and three sisters, Edna Fleming, Mary MacLauchlin, and Margaret Thomas.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Laura Canine. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
