Obit: Janice Elaine Thompson Cole of Simpsonville

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, with burial planned for Thursday.

Janice Elaine Thompson Cole, 65, of Simpsonville, wife of the late James Nolan Cole, died September 16, 2013.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late AC and Edister Thompson.

Janice was a retired Accountant from the City of Greenville after 38 years of service.

She was a member of Daventon Baptist Church in Pelzer where she served as the organist and pianist for over 50 years, and participated on many church committees.

Janice is survived by her son, Steve Cole and his wife, Joann; three grandchildren, Madison, Jackson and Emerson Cole; and three sisters, Patricia Storay and husband, Johnny, Fay Childress and husband, Roy, and Kay Kellett and husband, Butch.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast, 1604 NE Main Street, Simpsonville.

Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at 925 Dunklin Bridge Road, Fountain Inn.
