Marshall Tucker Band Releases Live '95 Spartanburg Recording

Live album drawn from legendary Upstate band's SC Music Hall of Fame concert.

Tuckerheads rejoice.

The famed, Spartanburg-bred Southern rockers, The Marshall Tucker Band, have released a never-before-heard live performance now on sale.

“Live! From Spartanburg, South Carolina” is an 11-track album, recorded on Sept. 19, 1995, at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. The tracks were culled from a concert celebrating the band's induction into the S.C. Music Hall of Fame.

The recording features original MTB members Doug Gray, Paul Riddle, Jerry Eubanks and George McCorkle, plus guest performances by Charlie Daniels, Allman Brothers Band alumni Jaimoe and Butch Trucks, The Outlaws, Firefall, and Wet Willie, along with others.

“The day this concert was recorded was a very big day for Marshall Tucker,” the group's lead vocalist and co-founder Doug Gray said in a news release. “Fans have waited a long time for this live recording with so many of our musical friends.”

The album can be purchased at record stores, online retailers such as Amazon, or at the band's website here
